Saturn

The brand was founded in 1985 and is part of the General Motors division. The concept of the brand was to create revolutionary small cars. Saturn S-Series machines were in demand in the 90s. The brand entered the market of Canada and Japan. In the history of the company there is an electric car Saturn EV1. In 2005, all models in the series were eliminated.

Since 2000, the brand began producing all-wheel drive cars. For the production of modern sedans and station wagons of the L series, the Opel / Vauxhall Vectra B base was used. The company introduced body parts made of polymer and composite materials. This allows you to save on repair work in case of damage to the body. From 2002 - 2003, sales declined by a total of 40%. The reason is the unsuccessful restyling and modernization of Japanese brands. In 2009, General Motors decides to say goodbye to the Saturn brand. But in the future, the brand can still be restored.
