Hummer

In 1979, the US Army arranged a tender to create the best jeep for the needs of the army. The victory was in the pocket of AM General. The all-terrain vehicle M 998 was recognized as the best. More than 55,000 brutal cars rolled off the assembly line. Private orders rained down on the company, and then a civilian version of the all-terrain vehicle under the Hammer brand was created. Translated means "mobile", "multifunctional" and "easy to manage." These cars lacked army armor, and the design became less aggressive. Sales rose to 80,000 cars per year.

Distinctive features of the brand: excellent cross-country ability, stability, visibility with small dimensions. The first owner of the SUV was Arnold Schwarzenegger. The last SUV came out in 2010 from the GM factory. The lineup includes three cars H1, H2, H3 (discontinued in 2010).

In 2009, the Chinese company Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. acquired the rights to the brand. Hammers H1 and H3 are available as DongFeng Warrior models. The design of the car has also undergone changes. By the way, the Hummers were produced in Russia (Kaliningrad). 30% of the cars sold are in Moscow and the Moscow region.
